Description

:iconyuicraiplz: I'm thinking of paying someone nearly 150 :points: just to color her because I know if I do it myself, my 3 hour work will just go down the drain even though I know it's not that good to begin with. So if anyone is good at coloring and would be willing to color her for me, I'll pay you 150 :points: - more if I have to! She has black hair, brown eyes and is kinda a vanilla/ivory skinned girl. Her shirt is a light navy blue if that makes sense and the sash around her arm is red. Everything else other than that is your normal uniform :XD:
I have this done already - thank you to the two kind people ♥
So this Alice Browning, my Snk/Aot OC who I've nearly died over for the past month trying to think of her biography and stuff. I hope she comes off as a good character ^^;

David Browning (Father), Mercede Browning (Mother), Emiliano Browning (Eldest brother/sibling), Franco Browning (Second brother/sibling), Evan Browning (Third brother/fourth sibling), Rhys Mackenzie (Browning) (Fourth brother/youngest sibling) --- Alfons Mackenzie (brother’s adoptive father/good friend), Isla Mackenzie (brother’s adoptive mother/acquaintance)

Name: David Browning
Species: Human
Status: Deceased (Died at 49)
Home: Shiganshina
Short Bio: David was a simple man that worked in and owned his own merchant shop. He provided his family well enough to keep them happy though there were times when he felt he could have done better for them. He and his family lived in Shiganshina, though they all resided in the very rear of the territory, about 10-15 meters away from Wall Rose. He was sweeping in the shop when he heard all the people screaming and running towards the gate of Wall Rose. Baffled, he rushed outside his shop to see what was all the commotion about, soon enough that’s when he realized that the titans had invaded. Without hesitation, he rushed home though about halfway there, he was picked up by a titan and evidently eaten without even getting to say goodbye to his loved ones. (I never got to home .-.)

Name: Mercede Browning
Species: Human
Status: Deceased (Died at 49)
Home: Shiganshina
Short Bio: Mercede was a humble, short tempered, and loving mother/wife who enjoyed nothing more than her family’s company and providing them with whatever she was able to sew and pass off as a scarf even though she was originally aiming for an apron. However she did prefer relying on David, especially since she’s hated being not only the worse seamstress in all of what used to be Shiganshina, but being constantly reminded. The day Wall Maria fell, she was at home tending to Alice’s hair and scolding her for cutting it so short. But once all the screaming and crying grew closer and she became aware of the situation, she grabbed her daughter’s hands and rushed her out the door, commanding her to run to Wall Rose’s gate and keep safe while she went to go look for Alice’s two younger brothers. Once she was certain her daughter fled, Mercede allowed herself to cry as she tried making her way through the crowd, knowing the chances of dying was stronger than anything - even her will to find her children. Mercede soon found Evan and Rhys huddling together frightened beyond belief behind a couple of boulders; she grabbed their wrists and told them to keep going forward and never look back. Though it was when they were nearly home free did a titan grab her and pull her up to eat her. Though she was so frightened, her hand was clinging to Evan’s wrist but Rhys had managed to break free due to being so small. She hadn't only caused her demise, but unintentionally, Evan’s as well. (I killed my son ._.)

Name: Emiliano Browning
Species: Human
Status: Deceased (Died at 18)
Home: Shiganshina
Short Bio: Emiliano wanted nothing more than to make his parents proud and what better way than joining the Scouting Legion? Despite his parents pleads to do anything but that, he told them his wish was to make them proud and help improve humanity in killing as much titans as possible. Though when he’d finally become an official soldier and headed out, he never did return. (I’m so short lived -.-)

Name: Franco Browning
Species: Human
Status: Deceased (Died at 15)
Home: Shiganshina
Short Bio: Franco Browning wasn't only a dreamer, but an aspiring rookie. Wanting to fulfill his brother’s dream and try to ease his parents pain, he decided to join the Scouting Legion and pushed himself to the extreme. It was right before graduation and being able to apply to the Scouting Legion did Wall Maria fall. His duty along with the rest of his fellow trainees was to go and aid the people of Shiganshina. He was doing fairly well up until the point where he saw a woman trapped in an alleyway underneath some fallen bricks. Franco tried desperately to free the woman, but stopped instantly once he saw a large shadow fall over them. Looking up, his heart nearly stopped at the sight of a titan grinning down at him. Frozen with fear, he was helpless as it grabbed him and soon after the woman, eating them alive. (I couldn't save her )’: )

Name: Evan Browning
Species: Human
Status: Deceased (Died at 7)
Home: Shiganshina
Short Bio: Evan was your average, everyday little boy who loved being around his brothers(much more than his sister to be quite frank). The day the Wall fell, he was out with his favorite brother, Rhys, enjoying a nice game of hide ‘n seek. Soon after finding him in an alley, he heard all the frightened screams and desperate cried of people as they rushed by. Growing scared and confused, he grabbed his brother and tried running home. But once he caught sight of the titans approaching, he rushed off the other way and took refuge behind some boulders. He tried comforting Rhys and himself, though he was confident they would die - at least one of them anyways. (See Mercede for his ending.) (I was a brat ♥)

Name: Rhys Mackenzie (Browning)
Species: Human
Status: Alive (currently 11)
Home: Originally lived in Shiganshina with family; lives with Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie in Stohess District, Wall Sina
Short Bio: Rhys was very optimistic and curious, though now he is very reserved and hardly ever smiles. The day Wall Maria fell, he was with his brother playing games and enjoying himself. Rhys was nothing less than horrified, disgusted, crushed, and frozen at the sight of his brother and mother being eaten alive in front of him. If it weren't for a kind stranger who had decided to nearly commit suicide in running over and picking up the blood splattered boy, he would've been eaten next. Rhys’s story continues on him meeting up with Alice who was cradling herself, completely wide eyed and worried on the soon to sail boat. She instantly became his substitute of a mother when she rushed over and nearly strangled him with her hug. As the horrible incident of the titans invasion continued, he cried of Mercede and Evan’s death. (Go to Alice or Alfons and Isla’s history for the rest of this part of Rhys’s history.) As he grew up into a young boy, Rhys began to feel the urge to venture out of the safety from the walls, not to mention the slight wanting to avenge his brother and mother. So to his adoptive parent’s mortification, he decided to join the Scouting Legion once old enough and strive to become one of the greatest soldiers of all time. (I don’t know how much my sister’s done for me ♥)

Name: Alfons Mackenzie --- Isla Mackenzie
Species: Human
Status: Alive (currently 50; she is 49)
Home: Stohess District, Wall Shina
Short Bio: Both Alfons and Isla are loud, law-abiding, empathetic and kind-hearted folk who unfortunately lost their daughter one day due to her playing too near the river alone and their son who died that fateful day trying to defend Wall Maria (he was a trainee named Logan and best friends with Alice’s brother, Franco). Alfons came down from his district every year or so to visit David (the two met when he had stopped in his shop asking for directions) to keep in touch and such nonsense. Though of course he headed back immediately once he caught word that the wall had fallen; two years later when he was heading down to Wall Rose for personal business, he ran into the morose and quiet Alice who used to be bratty and wild. He learned what had happened and offered to adopt her and her brother, but she denied the offer and instead requested that he take Rhys and give him a better life. Rather reluctant on leaving her behind, he persisted but eventually agreed. Isla was surprised to see her husband return from his trip with a little boy, but accepted Rhys almost immediately - she saw him as a gift, a second chance to protect and guard her new child. However, Rhys wasn’t so happy about the decision and still refuses to acknowledge them as his “parents”, even though they've given him nearly everything just to see him smile for once. (We've given Rhys everything yet he still dislikes us ._.)

Personality

Alice tries very, very hard to be considerate and careful over difficult decisions, but most of the time she ends up following her impulse and heads way off course. Due to the hard decisions she had to make for herself and Rhys when she still was watching over him, every decision whether it be regarding where to sleep tonight or how are they going to eat now - it was all made under quick thinking. Which also makes her a little impatient when people take their time and try to speculate/think things through. (However Alice will completely slow down and back away when she has strong feelings towards a certain situation; she’ll shut everyone and everything out to really ponder if the choice she made is the right one before acting.) Though this doesn't mean that she can’t be devoted and hardworking, she works very hard to help others and be as attentive as possible. She believes if she pays attention to the unnoticed and catches the slightest thing that appears unusual, she can strike before something bad happens and it’s too late. Because she is devoted in helping others, this makes her rather dependable and mature. But when someone helps her, she tends to clam up and say “thank you” in a harsh way. It isn't that she doesn't like being helped, it’s due to her usually having to take care of herself and she feels if she depends on people too much, she’ll become too dependent. But deep down Alice wants to depend on others and say “thank you” without a problem, she just hasn't found the right way to do so yet.
Even though she can be stubborn over certain situations, she tends to be open-minded. Such as life outside the walls. Her curiosity mixed with her imagination runs free when she thinks about the outside world because there’s nothing more she’d love than to be able to go out and explore! But the situation regarding the titans crushes her unrealistic dream. Regarding her trust, it’s hard to say that she isn't anything less than completely loyal and faithful in her friends, comrades, and Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie. But because she trusts them deeply and without doubt, this can also make her very gullible and fall into any possible lies they may use or tricks. Now being a little more realistic, Alice is very reserved when it comes to people she rarely knows or has barely met. It takes a lot for people to gain her trust and respect, but when they do, she’s nothing more than willing to defend them at all costs.

History

Even though she didn't have a place to necessarily call home, Alice considered her little brother home which was why it was so hard for her to let him go. She knew what she wanted to do, her dream was to go outside of the walls and try to make a difference in the world - maybe even a little safer to protect her home. So she denied Alfon’s offer and instead requested he take Rhys, knowing one day if humanity had ever defeated the titans, she could have somewhere to go back to. To remind herself as to what her goal is, she wears Rhys’s red sash on her left arm - knowing one day she might get to go home.
After Alfons had left with her brother, it was only a couple of months before she reached the proper age to enroll in the military in where she met the one boy who had shown her great kindness long ago by offering her and Rhys a loaf of bread which at the time might have as well of been a banquet to the two. She swore to herself she’d never forget his face because it was all thanks to that loaf of bread that helped them get through the long, cold night without growling stomachs. (Remember when the soldiers didn't have too much food to spare?) So seeing him, she rushed over and swore to him to do all she can to watch out for him, though of course he didn't really understand what that loaf of bread had meant to her and was a little uneasy on her promise but accepted it anyways. (She didn't know how to say “thank you” properly, so she saw a life for a life thing - hopefully that makes sense.) But this didn't mean she was always around him and eyeing him, no, Alice kept her distance and would occupy herself in her own things. But she did love being around him - he was very kind and a good listener, even though she didn't talk much.
She graduated four years later, being in the 104th Trainee Squad and wanting to keep both her formal goal and her new goal in pledging herself help to the boy, she joined the Scouting Legion.

Current Story

(updated because I read the manga)

After being denied to head over to the Stohess and visit Rhys, Alice remained with the others in her civilian clothes and helped out when possible. However just as soon as she had begun getting used to everything calm, the titan invasions and sudden splitting to teams to figure out what’s happen had caught her completely off guard. By the time everything was coming to an end, she found it all hard to absorb because of her two comrades (I won’t say who though - even though this update is a spoiler itself, I believe whoever hasn’t read this far shouldn’t know yet) identities. (A little time skip…)
Alice isn’t the least bit jealous that her two close friends have joined Levi’s new squad, no, in honesty she just misses them deeply. However she is thankful that she is allowed to go and visit from time to time, it helps her keep her thoughts at ease knowing her goal in protecting Armin is still manageable. Though the paranoia of titans breaching the walls, specifically the Stohess wall has grown because she can’t bear the thought of losing Rhys…

Strengths

:bulletred: Devoted and hardworking
:bulletred: Loyal and slightly protective
:bulletred: Willing/loves to learn new things
:bulletred: Curious (though this can be both a good and bad thing)
:bulletred: Tenderhearted - even though she tries to keep a nonchalant look, deep down she’s very concerned about others and is willing to help; she’ll even be willing to help nurse them back to health if needed
:bulletred: Dependable and slightly obedient (she will have second thoughts if she finds the request a bit off)

Flaws

:bulletred: Impulsive and impatient
:bulletred: A little impolite - some of her comrades aren’t so fond of her inability to say “thank you” properly
:bulletred: Slightly gullible and very stubborn (though she will do as told if it’s regarding a captain’s request, however when it’s one of her friends or comrades, she’ll be very reluctant and if she’s set her mind on no, believe that she won’t consider it otherwise)
:bulletred: Reserved around people she considers strangers
:bulletred: Becomes slightly dumbfounded on how to thank someone properly
:bulletred: Becomes engrossed easily (her favorite thing other than daydreaming would be sitting down and devoting herself into a good book which means she will completely look track of time. Though this just doesn’t apply to books - it can be in something as simple as getting into a deep conversation or becoming very detailed towards a sketch despite her original intention being a simple doodle)
:bulletred: Reluctant - despite her being impulsive most of the time, when she has strong feelings regarding a certain situation, she’ll slow down and really have to ponder it out.

Likes

:bulletred: Daydreaming of a different world or one day going home
:bulletred: Shutting everyone out to read a book
:bulletred: Fantasizing that her family is proud of her
:bulletred: Helping others - sometimes
:bulletred: The sunrise. Seeing something so beautiful makes her feel that not everything is lost
:bulletred: Being around that boy she promised - the conversations between the two indulge her more than almost anything, but that must just be because of his intellect, or so she’d like to assume

Dislikes

:bulletred: Pointless arguments
:bulletred: Realizing her dreams of the outside may never come true
:bulletred: Remembering how her last happy seconds before the wall fell were spent sitting on stool getting scolded by her mother for cutting her hair while she tried to fix it.
:bulletred: Failing - she’s convinced her family will be ashamed if she doesn’t try her hardest
:bulletred: How she’s unable to say “thank you”

Fears

:bulletred: Thunderstorms and lightning - ever since the fateful day at Wall Maria, with the Colossal Titan appearing out of thunder and lightning, she's been terrified of it and will clam up completely
:bulletred: Becoming a burden to everyone around her
:bulletred: Losing her home
:bulletred: Failing to protect that one kind boy
:bulletred: Getting eaten by a titan - though she is very aware of the possibility every time she goes out on a mission.

Relationships

David/Mercede Browning: Alice loved her parents with her whole heart, though it was David who she admired while Mercede was a little bit of an underachiever in her eyes which can only be explained because she couldn’t understand how her mother could just sit by and rely on one person to support an entire household. Regardless, she loved them as much as a child could love their parents. Her only regret would be never knowing exactly what happened to David, though she does have a good idea. And having a little argument with Mercede, the last words before the wall fell being, “I hate you and I hate having to keep my hair long for your silly little lie of the women in our family having it as tradition!”

Emiliano/Franco Browning: She was very fond of her two older brothers, though it had to be Franco the one she admired the most. She was so amazed that he was willing to go risk his life and try to fulfill Emiliano’s dream. Not to mention how she adored how he would always scold Evan and Rhys for pulling on her hair or trying to trip her. However Alice did admire Emiliano - he just wasn’t around as much as Franco when he was still alive.

Evan Browning: Even though they weren’t on the friendliest terms and bickered over pointless things, she still loved her little brother deeply. Her fondest memory between Evan and herself would have to be the one night when he was restless and a little paranoid of the dark - he allowed her to lay in bed next to him and from there she sung a little melody which not only eased him, but helped him to fall asleep. She loved having seen him without a scowl, even if it was only once.

Rhys Mackenzie (Browning): Initially Rhys and Alice weren’t so close, in fact, they were the most distant from each other and she wasn’t particularly fond of the horrible tricks he pulled off with Evan on her. But after the wall fell and it was evident they only had each other now, their relationship deepened and she promised him, no matter what, she would keep him safe. And even though sending him away to live within Wall Sina nearly killed her, she knew it was the most reasonable, safest, and smartest option for him. The day Rhys was being taken, he took off his red sash from his shirt and tied it onto her left arm, making her promise to come home one day which she now dreams of doing.

Alfons/Isla Mackenzie: Alice really doesn’t know Isla, but has made an exception and has put her trust into the woman, hoping she’ll take good care of Rhys. Regarding Alfons, he’s an old friend and she has put the same trust in him as she did to Isla; in her eyes, they’re good, hardworking and loving people. She’s certain she made the right choice.

Armin Arlert: Without questioning, she’s more than willing to help the kind boy who she swore herself to protect for helping her out in the past. He has her full respect and at times, attention. She loves conversing with him and learning about the outside world; Alice tends to soften up and open up around him - though that’s only because he’s one of the few who she feels she can be herself around without being ignored.

Jonah Akers: A childhood friend and at times, nuisance. She loves Jonah as an older brother and defends him almost instantly when others call him an idiot for being too childish - however deep down she can’t help but agree at times for him always trying to make others laugh. Though she does love his effort and is glad they’re friends.

Daemon Reagan: Daemon is one of her very few close friends as to whom she trusts, respects, and slightly admires. Alice is very grateful to have him in her life because she can confide in him without feeling frustrated or embarrassed. However she would like it if he'd smile just a little more, despite her hardly doing it herself, she likes seeing them planted on others.

Ayame Kurosami: This friendship is very special to Alice because she feels she can tell Ayame nearly everything - she even talks a little more around her. She respects her and trusts her deeply, though she can't help but want to pick on her a little for having a crush on Eren which she secretly finds adorable.

Eren Jaeger: She admires him and his great will to fight, though she does think he should slow down once in a while. He has her respect and just like Armin, she loves to talk to him. Though since he’s been occupied with the corporals and other duties, she hasn’t really gotten the chance in doing so for quite some time.

Mikasa Ackerman: There is no doubt that Mikasa is secretly one of her role models. She greatly admires her strong will power, amazing battle skills, and her protective nature for those close to her. However she thinks Mikasa could lighten up a little on her guard and not pursue Eren so profoundly - but because she isn’t aware of her history of the two together, Alice finds it best not to judge her protective stature over him.

Sasha Braus: Sasha is an antithesis to Alice; Sasha is loud, Alice is reserved, Sasha is eccentric while Alice is a bit dull around people. She eats a lot while Alice can’t help but pick at her food from time to time, Sasha is friendly and simple minded while Alice clams up and her thoughts go deeper than they should at times. Because of their huge differences, it’s a bit hard for the two to get along, but Alice trusts Sasha and is grateful to have such an optimistic person in her life and realizes that Sasha is one of her closest friends. However, she isn’t particularly fond of how scared Sasha can become, though she understands that the titans are nothing less than frightening, strange creatures.

Rosario Zimmermann: Alice is perfectly aware that she and Jonah are the new "Mina and Tomas" to her - however she can't really blame her. In honesty, it's to help mend a broken heart. However she doesn't particularly like Rosario's short temper or violent ways and does think she should slow down and try to understand more. Their relationship isn't necessarily friendship but then again it is - Alice may not always like her, but she is indeed fond of Rosario.

Jean Kirschstein: Alice respects that he is an honest and outspoken individual, though she doesn’t exactly trust him like she does with the others. It isn’t anything personal, she just hasn’t seen any reason to for they are no where near close or friendly towards each other - simply civil.

Annie Leonhardt: She was always rather curious regarding Annie and had respect for her without any doubt. Even though the two hardly knew each other, Alice still admired her. Though she’s had mixed feelings and endless thoughts once she found out that she was the titan shifter, those feelings including hate, shock, and confusion. However she can’t bring herself to fully hate Annie, especially since everyone has a reason and until she learns what it is, she’s decided to remain neutral.

Extra

:bulletred:Alice is a big dreamer, her two biggest dreams being able to one day see this big mass of water called an “ocean” and getting to go home.
:bulletred:Promises are very important to her.
:bulletred: She keeps a small knife inside her jacket, usually used to cut ropes or carve something into a tree when she’s outside to mark where she’s been.
:bulletred: Up until the battle at the Trost district (episode 5), Alice kept her hair tied back in a long, tight braid that reached the near end of her back. Though while trying to aid one of her comrades, she was grabbed by her braid and dangled around like a rag doll. She was still having a conflict with herself when she cut her hair with the small blade she kept in her jacket - this is because after the argument with Mercede, she wanted to keep her hair long in memoriam on her. Ever since then, she’s had a bit of mixed emotions but has learned to accept she had to, otherwise she’d would've been eaten (obviously).
:bulletred: She likes to hum a little melody from time to time.
:bulletred: She cherishes the few people who are close to her more than almost anything.
:bulletred: Even though she only opens up around people she’s comfortable with, she secretly wishes she could be more approachable towards others and become friendlier.
:bulletred: Alice wants to cry out from the depths of her heart “thank you”, but has such difficulty showing her feelings
:bulletblue: Her favorite color is blue
:bulletred: She ties her hair back when on missions.
:bulletred: Personal phrase: “I have a lot to say, but to be quite frank, I have to be careful to whom I open up to.”

So hopefully this will do - for now. I still need to fix some things and I wouldn't be surprised if you found a couple of typos :iconforeversobplz: And yes I had to give her a theme song which is "Hello/How are you" --> www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC6N-A… :XD: Also - I think you know my reason behind making Armin the boy she wants to protect - since he is my favorite after all :iconturnaroundplz:
Counting... She has only has Armin, Jonah, Daemon, Sasha, and Ayame as friends... So five!! :dummy: :XD:
One last thing - I still need to figure out exactly how Alice and Alfons met in order for them to discuss Rhys - so please don't get mad at me :XD: My brain's nearly fried right now ♥
